Heat Pump Clothes Dryers

If you are conscious about energy consumption, Heat Pump Clothes Dryers are the way to go. Condensation dryers use a passive heat exchanger cooled by ambient air, these dryers use a heat pump. The humid air from the tumbler is pushed through a heat pump where the cold side condenses the water vapour into a collection tank, and the hot side reheats the air afterwards to be used again. This means there is no need for ducting, and it conserves much of its heat within the dryer instead of exhausting it into the air around it. Heat pump dryers can therefore use up to 50% less energy required by either condensation or traditional dryers. With so many choices out there it can be a little overwhelming.  Use our buying guide to help you make the right purchase.
